Tyson Fury overcame Deontay Wilder in their third and final contest signalling the end of a thrilling professional boxing trilogy fight between WBC and The Ring heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, and former WBC heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder. The bout took place at T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada on October 9, 2021. Fury won the fight via eleventh-round knockout in an epic fight that is widely regarded as one of the best heavyweight clashes of all time.
Now Fury has turned his attention to a potential homecoming fight at Old Trafford Manchester in 2022. Although nothing has been confirmed, his likely opponent would be Dillian Whyte, should his fellow brt overcome Otto Wallin later this month.
Fury said after his victory against Wilder, 'I have two fights left out here but I'd love to bring a world title fight back to Manchester. It has always been a dream of mine to fight at Old Trafford. The last fight there was Eubank versus Benn in 1993 and that was massive.'
