Paddy Power World Darts Championship was held from December 15-January 3 at London's Alexandra Palace, with 96 players competing for £2.5 million in prize money and the Sid Waddell Trophy.
The 2004/25 festive feast of darts is expected to begin on Friday December 13 and run through to the final on Wednesday January 1, with 96 players from around the world competing for £2.5million in prize money (dates are subject to change).
In the 2022/23 tournament Michael Smith landed an incredible nine-dart finish on his way to claiming World Championship glory for the first time in a classic final against Michael van Gerwen at Alexandra Palace.
In the 2023/24 tournament Luke Humphries became the new name on Sid Waddell Trophy. He defeated Luke Littler 7-4 in the final; The teenage sensation won £200,00 on debut after making it to the final.
