TicketPort Guarantee

Why is there a TicketPort Guarantee?

Tickets purchased by traders are in some cases subject to cancellation and invalidation by promoters. At TicketPort we minimise this risk as much as possible by only allowing the most trusted secondary businesses or traders to offer tickets through the website. However for extra peace of mind we also provide this guarantee so you know your purchase is fully protected.

What is the TicketPort Guarantee?

The guarantee covers two scenarios:

  • In the instance that the original ticket seller does not provide you with the tickets listed for sale, the seller (or another seller on TicketPort) will provide equivalent or upgraded tickets at no extra cost, or a full refund will be provided.
  • In the instance your tickets are invalid and are not honoured at the venue, you will receive a full refund on your purchase. Should you experience problems with your tickets on the day of the event you must contact TicketPort within three working days of the incident to report the issue. You may be required to provide additional information and evidence in order to be covered by the guarantee. The seller will be permitted to provide their own evidence if they dispute the claim.

What are the chances of something going wrong?

Very unlikely, but we are obliged to let you know there is a risk and how we'd handle any unforeseen issues. In the first scenario above you would most likely receive better tickets that originally ordered so your event day experience would be even better! The second scenario is much less likely and would apply if there are issues gaining entry to an event. The TicketPort Guarantee is here to reassure you rather than make you more concerned, so we want you to know you would be fully refunded in such a case.

I am still unsure!

That's understandable, unfortunately there have been historical issues with ticket buying and rogue sellers not supplying the tickets (or supplying fake tickets) on other websites or through social media where there is little you can do to recoup your money when things go wrong. TicketPort was established in part to create a safer and more transparent buying experience. Buying from TicketPort not only means much of this risk of something going wrong has already been elminated because we only use verified trusted sellers but you also are protected with this guarantee as well. We therefore believe TicketPort is a safe place to buy resale tickets from. Please see our Customer Reviews page and Trustpilot and see what other customers have said!

What doesn't the TicketPort Guarantee cover?

The guarantee is to cover unforeseen issues at the venue or with ticket supply. Reasons why a claim may be rejected would be broadly in line with any other official ticket supplier. They may include but are not limited to:

  • A customer invalides their own tickets through an action they have taken, whether deliberate or not, such as informing a venue they have purchased on a third party website when this may not be permitted.
  • A customer is denied entry to a venue as a result of attempting to enter the venue with a ticket that they are not eligible for (e.g. an adult entering on a child ticket).
  • A customer is denied entry to a venue as a result of their own error, for example failing to download and print their E-tickets ahead of time, attempting to enter with a confirmation email only or arriving late to the event.
  • A customer is denied entry to a venue as a result of personal conduct or attire in line with the policies of the venue.
  • A customer has not attempted to enter the event with their tickets and has not been denied entry.
  • A customer who claims to have received incorrect tickets and who does not contact us about a problem until after the event occurs.
  • A customer who enters wrong or incomplete delivery details and never receives his tickets as a result of his or her error. This includes an e-mail address when tickets are delivered electronically.
  • A customer has lost or damaged their tickets.
  • A customer who refuses a delivery.
