Dillian Whyte will face Otto Wallin on Saturday, October 30. It is being held at the O2 Arena in London.
Brixton's 'Body Snatcher' got sweet revenge against Alexander Povetkin earlier this year when he took out the Russian in Gibraltar in their rematch in March. It came after he lost to a brutal knockout at Matchroom HQ in August 2020. Victory over Povetkin has strengthened Whyte's hopes of a shot at a world title soon. The WBC interim heavyweight title holder is eager to go for gold and has the likes of Anthohyn Joshua and Tyson Fury in his sights.
On the fight promoter Eddie Hearn said: 'With everything opening up, [it's] the opportunity for him to fight at the O2 again. It's been over two years since he's boxed in the UK in front of fans. Chris Arreola is probably the frontrunner. That's the fight I like because Arreola brings a war every time he fights, he just had a great fight with Andy Ruiz, and Dillian wants to fight Andy Ruiz. So that would be a good statement to fight him - Dillian Whyte back doing what he does best in all-out wars at the O2 as normality is upon us.'
